From the website whitehouse.gov we read that “President Trump issued an executive order last May titled “Promoting Free Speech and Religious Liberty,” Trump during the signing of the religious liberty order announced that he was happy to be going to the Vatican where we are told on the website further that “The President and First Lady met with His Holiness Pope Francis at the Vatican later that month, discussing how religious communities could help combat terrorism and relieve human suffering in afflicted parts of the world.” We were told further on the site that “President Trump’s proclamation is a reminder that civic participation and religious observance shouldn’t be opposing forces.”
But the principle of whether or not civil and religious leaders should unite in making religious laws or enforcing any type of religious observance is contrary to the first amendment. The first amendment tells us that no law is to be made respecting a religion. And the first amendment says far more than enough concerning religious liberty than any president or Pope could ever say. 
In fact history tells us that James Madison, the fourth president of the United States, who is also known as the father of the constitution said “The purpose of separation of church and state is to keep forever from these shores the ceaseless strife that has soaked the soil of Europe in blood for centuries.”
And just who soaked the soil of Europe in blood for centuries with over 50 million martyrs? Who do we need to keep FOREVER from the shores of America? Who do we need to keep forever from ever entering into, or partaking of the law making assembly of the United States? The Papacy.
But unfortunately because of a lack of historical understanding or bad memory, the Papacy was speaking on behalf of the legislative body of America, the lawmakers, the congress of the United States in September, 2015. Interestingly in the Great Controversy we were warned over 100 years ago of the aims of the Papacy:
“The Constitution of the United States guarantees liberty of conscience. Nothing is dearer or more fundamental. Pope Pius IX, in his Encyclical Letter of August 15, 1854, said: `The absurd and erroneous doctrines or ravings in defense of liberty of conscience are a most pestilential error—a pest, of all others, most to be dreaded in a state.’ The same pope, in his Encyclical Letter of December 8, 1864, anathematized `those who assert the liberty of conscience and of religious worship,’ also ‘all such as maintain that the church may not employ force.” (Great Controversy 564)
You see things haven’t changed. Has the Papacy changed? No Pope Francis has expressed the same sentiments. In an article from Vatican Radio website we read the headline:
“Pope Francis: religion should not be confined to ‘personal conscience’
You see, even today with Pope Francis they have failed to accept the belief in liberty of conscience which is or at least was protected by the first amendment of the United States. And just as Pope Pius IX in 1854 there has been no change in the views of the Papacy concerning these matters. We read again a page earlier in the book Great Controversy:
“The time was when Protestants placed a high value upon the liberty of conscience which had been so dearly purchased. They taught their children to abhor popery and held that to seek harmony with Rome would be disloyalty to God. But how widely different are the sentiments now expressed! { Great Controversy 563}
Reading this book the Great Controversy today with an understanding of Religious liberty we will understand that everything predicted in this book is current headline news.
Now why would Donald Trump go to the Vatican to discuss religious liberty? Why would President Trump need tips from Pope Francis on how to protect religious liberty? What religious observances should civic of civil power be uniting with instead of opposing? The religious observances of the Vatican? Sunday keeping?
“Of course the Catholic Church claims that the change [Saturday Sabbath to Sunday] was her act… And the act is a mark of her ecclesiastical authority in religious things” (H.F. Thomas, Chancellor of Cardinal Gibbons).
And so who is it that will enforce the mark of the beast? Who is it that speaks like a dragon? It is the American civil government. In Revelation 13 we are told that this power comes up lamblike, as it did with protection of religious liberty. However, now on the official website of the whitehouse we see Donald Trump and Melania holding hands in the Vatican and this being the whitehouse official picture of the president protecting the religious liberties of Americans.
It is speaking like the dragon who gave the Papacy its power. (Revelation 13:2) And it is about to “exercise the same power as the first beast before it” (Revelation 13:12) As Donald Trump has said
“I want to give power back to the church”.
Constantine and Trump
In May when Donald Trump signed into law the religious freedom executive order, it was very comparable to something that happened by Constantine during the time of the great falling away. It is interesting to note that in AD 313 Constantine did something very similar when he signed into law the Edict of Milan. And just what is the Edict of Milan?
Constantine’s order was called the Edict of Milan which according to Wikepedia.com was a law ordering the people of the Roman Empire to “treat Christians benevolently within the Roman Empire.” Constantine was considered to be a “really good Christian” who really helped to give power back to the church.
We are told in Great Controversy that only eight years later a Sunday Law was made. History is repeating itself. 
Only 8 years later we are told “In the early part of the fourth century the emperor Constantine issued a decree making Sunday a public festival throughout the Roman Empire. (See Appendix.) The day of the sun was reverenced by his pagan subjects and was honored by Christians; it was the emperor’s policy to unite the conflicting interests of heathenism and Christianity.” (Great Controversy 53)
And all of this all is coming on the heels of electing Kansas Governor Sam Brownback as America’s new Religious Freedom Advisor. And Brownback is a Catholic who was nominated by Trump. So just what agenda concerning religious liberty do we have coming from the Whitehouse? A Papal religious agenda that does not respect liberty of conscience. The same one that was responsible for ending religious liberty during the dark ages. The same one that brought a national Sunday law in the time of Constantine.
And for this reason, we should understand why God makes clear what the sin is that causes the judgment of Babylon. 
Rev 17:1, 2 And there came one of the seven angels which had the seven vials, and talked with me, saying unto me, Come hither; I will shew unto thee the judgment of the great whore that sitteth upon many waters: With whom the kings of the earth have committed fornication, and the inhabitants of the earth have been made drunk with the wine of her fornication.
What is the sin? Fornication of the church (woman) with the state(Kings of the earth?) And therefore there is a call because of this misconduct, she has been “weighed in the balances and found wanting” (Daniel 5:27), judged, and therefore there is a call to many to “come out of her my people, that ye be not partaker of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues”. (Revelation 18:4)
It is time for God’s people to “Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the LORD is risen upon thee” (Isa 60:1) We are to “lighten the earth with His glory” (Rev 18:1)
In this day there are many professing the name of Christ, coming in his name. They are feeding the poor, they are doing miracles, and many good works. However, we are to recognize that the fruit may look good to the eyes from a distance. When we taste it, it has that little bit of poison which is enough to cause the people of God to lose their glorious robes. And many in an effort to cover it up are placing fig leaves over their unrighteousness.
The principles of truth are revealed to us in this Great Controversy, it is our duty to diligently search out these truths and accept the power of the spirit into our hearts and change us truly into the glorious image of God.
